The material is a soft organic cotton with stretch. These have been well loved with a loose string or two and some wash wear fading-no rips or holes. We were NFO (not first owners). All zippers work perfectly and smoothly, and the pajamas have no stains that I have found. They have enough life in them to serve their purpose, I assure you.
