They were really nice to play with (nicer than today’s composites), but they had one drawback—they got heavy in the rain.Spalding created a leather treatment called “Pittards” that was much more weather resistant. The highest quality was the “Gold” ball.This is that ball. ideal for everyday use. excellent materials and excellent craftsmanship ensure long-lasting durability.
